Headlines are images that form a slider that appears on your homepage.

Go to Design > Headlines to add a slider via the left menu of the back office. Headlines can be used very well to show (temporary) promotions. Note that this must be set per language.

Instructions

  1. Click on Add headline scherm at the top right of the screen to add new headlines. If you add multiple headlines/images, the images together form a slideshow.

  2. A new screen will open in which you can enter the headline title and select the language.

  • Title - Name of the headlines. Depending on your chosen theme, this text will also appear on the headline.

  • Language - Select the language in which this headline will be displayed. The languages in the drop-down menu are the same languages added under Settings > SHOP SETTINGS > Internationalization. Do you want the same headline in all the languages of your shop? Then you have to recreate the headline for each language.

After creating the headline you will be redirected directly to the edit page.

  • Title - Name of the headlines. Depending on your chosen theme, this text will also appear on the headline. You have already entered this when creating the headline.

  • Language - Select the language in which this headline is displayed. The languages in the drop-down menu are the same languages added under Settings > SHOP SETTINGS > Internationalization. Do you want the same headline in all the languages of your shop? Then you have to recreate the headline for each language.
    Link to     - You can also have the header link to a category, brand, product or an external link. At Type , select the option to which you want to link the headline. In the second drop-down menu you can choose the page to which the headline should link next. If, for example, you choose Product Type, then in the second drop-down menu you select the product to which the headline should link. When you choose Custom in the drop-down menu, you can also refer to an external website.

  • Image - Click Browse to upload the file. You can delete the image by clicking on the image and then on Delete at the bottom left of the pop-up window

You can change the order of the headlines by clicking on the three dashes icon to the left of the headline and dragging the image up or down.

Every headline has a compression. This compression is a system limit to prevent system performance from suffering. If this were not the case, your webshop would load a lot less quickly, for example.

Resolutions by theme

Each theme has recommended heading sizes. For best results, make sure your images are sized to the dimensions specified above, otherwise they will be stretched or compressed. When uploading larger images, make sure the size ratio matches the ratios above. We also recommend using images in .png format.
