The cache is the memory that is reserved to store the most requested information, files or pages, so that they do not have to be reloaded every time and can therefore be displayed to users faster.

If you make changes to your webshop via the back office, it is possible that the page(s) to which they relate will be called up via the cache and you will therefore not see recent changes. Then refresh the relevant page in your browser (F5 in Windows, cmd + R for the Mac), or clear your cache and open the page again. When it comes to changes/updates made through Lightspeed, use the latter option to make sure you don't miss out.

Chrome (Mac)

  1. On the browser toolbar, click the icon with the three dots or horizontal bars at the top right.

  2. Go to More Tools and then Clear Browsing Data History

  3. A new screen will open: check the boxes of Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files

  4. Use the menu at the top to decide how much data you want to delete. We recommend doing this from the first use.

  5. Click Clear browser data.

Tip: CMD + SHIFT + R can usually be enough.

Firefox (Mac)

  1. On the browser toolbar, click the horizontal bar icon in the top right.

  2. Click on History.

  3. Click Clear Recent History...

  4. A new screen will open with a dialog. Open the details option and check the boxes of the information you want to remove. It's mainly about the buffer, so don't forget this.

  5. Use the drop-down menu at the top to determine how much data you want to delete. We recommend setting this to All .

  6. Click Clear Now to clear the cache.

Firefox (Windows)

  1. Click on Firefox in the top left to open the menu. (Mac users can go directly to the tab History )

  2. In the drop-down menu in the right column, click on History and then on Recent history.

  3. A pop-up window will open. Here you can empty the cache (buffer in Firefox terminology).

  4. We recommend setting the time period to All. A notification will then appear, but you don't have to worry about that.

  5. Click Clear Now to clear the cache.

Safari (Mac)

  1. Click on Safari at the top right

  2. Click on Preferences.

  3. A new screen will open. Click on Privacy in this screen.

  4. Select Delete all web data.

  5. Click Delete Now to delete the cache.

Safari (Windows)

  1. On the browser toolbar, click the settings at the top right

  2. Click Reset Safari. A new screen will open.

  3. In this screen you can check everything you want to remove. In order to empty the cache, you should at least tick “Remove all web data”.

  4. Click Reset to clear the cache.

Internet Explorer

  1. Click on the gear icon on the Internet Explorer menu bar.

  2. Click on Security and then on Clear browsing history.

  3. A new screen will open. Here you can tick what you want, but especially the options within the red boxes are important.

  4. Click Delete.
