The shopping cart in eCom allows customers to check their order. That helps customers calculate the total cost after shipping and discounts are selected. The shopping cart is designed to be functional using default settings. You can customize your shopping cart to meet the needs of your eCom store. You can:
Show VAT
Combine VAT if enabled
Provide explanation or details on the shopping cart page
Upsell products
Hide related products
Hide the shipping cost calculator
Hide the discount code field
Hide the progress bar
Keep users on product page when clicking Add to cart
Show VAT
When customers add products to the cart, the VAT breakdown is not visible.
Set up your VAT. Follow these instructions:
βUnited States or Canada
Europe or Australia
Enable VAT for your shopping cart.
βLog in to your eCom Back Office and click Settings.
Click on VAT in the column Payment settings.
Enable the option Show VAT in shopping cart .
Click on Save.
Combine VAT if enabled
For eCom stores in North America, there can be multiple types of tax by city, state, and country. For these shops, each VAT is displayed on a new line. This feature is not available for eCom stores in continental Europe or Australia. This function is also applied in your checkout. For more information click here.
Set up your VAT.
Combine VAT for the shopping cart and the checkout.
βLog in to your eCom Back Office and click Settings.
Click on VAT in the column Payment settings.
Enable the option Combine VAT rates in checkout .
Click on Save.
Provide explanation or details on the shopping cart page
Content you can add is, for example, text, images and videos.
Log in to your Lightspeed eCom back office and select Content.
Click on the link My shopping cart.
Add content to the page and click Save.

Upsell products
The shopping cart does not have an upselling function by default. Click here for more information about adding upselling to the cart.
Hide related products
Related products are only shown in the shopping cart if they are configured.
Log in to your eCom Back Office and click Settings.
Click on Advanced in the column General Settings.
Scroll to the SHOP section and uncheck the Related Products option.
Click on Save.

Hide the shipping cost calculator
Log in to your eCom Back Office and click Settings.
Click on Advanced in the column General Settings.
Scroll to the SHOP section and uncheck the Calculate shipping option.
Click on Save.
Hide the discount code field
Log in to your eCom Back Office and click Settings.
Click on Advanced in the column General Settings.
Scroll to the SHOP section and uncheck the Discount Codes option.
Click on Save.
Hide the progress bar
Log in to your eCom Back Office and click Settings.
Click on Advanced in the column General Settings.
Scroll to the SHOP section and enable or disable the Show progress option.
Click on Save.
Disabling this option will also be applied in your checkout. For more information, see Compose your checkout.
Keep users on product page when clicking Add to cart
Log in to your eCom Back Office and click Settings.
Click on Advanced in the column General Settings.
Scroll to the SHOP section and enable the Stay on page option.
Click on Save.
