Mollie is only available in Europe. Click here for an overview of payment providers available in your country.

Mollie is a payment provider that can be linked to Lightspeed eCom. Your customers can use Mollie to buy products from your eCom store. This article explains which settings are available in Mollie and the back office of your eCom shop.

Requirements

You need an account with Mollie. You can register here.

Settings in Mollie

  1. Log in to your Mollie account.

  2. Go through the steps in Settings > Organization.

  3. Enter your bank account number under Settings > Bank Accounts > +Add Business Bank Account.

  4. Open Settings > Website Profiles > +Create a new website profile and enter the name of your website and domain.

  5. Click on Contact details to enter your details.

  6. Click on Available payment methods to select the desired payment method.

Settings in Lightspeed eCom

  1. Log in to your eCom Back Office.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click on Payment providers to be found in the column Payment settings.

  4. Click on Mollie. If the payment provider does not appear on the screen, click on Add payment provider and click Add next to Mollie.

  5. Activate the switch called Activate this payment provider.

  6. Leave Consumers & B2B as the default option in the dropdown menu Visibility. Only change this setting if you have tailored the eCom store to B2B customers.

  7. Enter the API code in PROVIDER SETTINGS. You will receive this code from Mollie after your website profile has been approved.

  8. Under PAYMENT METHODS you can enable the payment methods of Mollie for which you have concluded a contract. Customers will not be able to checkout if non-contract payment methods are set up.

  9. Leave the settings in EXTRA SETTINGS as default. Only change these settings when necessary for a payment strategy. These changes may make it more difficult for customers to check out. For more information about other settings on this page, you can go to the general overview here.

  10. Click on Save.
