Payment providers provide e-commerce owners with a single interface to one or more online payment methods. With Lightspeed eCom, you can choose from a range of payment providers based on the location of your store and the payment method you want to use.

Some payment providers redirect users at checkout to complete the payment. With the other providers, customers complete the payment at checkout.
Available payment providers for you
The payment providers and payment methods they accept vary by region.
The most reliable way to know which payment providers you have available is to check with your eCom administrator:
Select Settings in your eCom administrator.
Select Payment providers under the column Payment settings.
The payment providers available in your region will appear here or by selecting Add payment provider .

Redirect customers after checkout
Some payment providers are designed to redirect your customers to fill in their payment details after they complete the checkout process on your website. They are redirected to a secure third party website belonging to the payment provider. Once customers have completed their payment details, they will be taken back to your website.
For example, you can choose PayPal as your payment service provider. Your customer completes the checkout by selecting his/her address and shipping options, chooses PayPal as the payment option and clicks Buy. Your customer will be redirected back to the PayPal website to log into their PayPal account or complete the payment details.
